This Financial Services Guide (FSG) has been prepared to help you decide whether to use the financial services offered by Safewill. It explains who we are, the types of services we can provide, how we are paid, any associations or relationships that might influence our advice, and how you can make a complaint if something goes wrong.
Safewill is Australia’s leading digital estate planning platform. Our main service is providing affordable and accessible online wills and estate planning solutions.
As part of the will-creation process, you may also receive information from us about financial products such as superannuation and life insurance. In these situations, the information we provide is general in nature. This means it has been prepared without taking into account your individual objectives, financial situation, or needs. We do not provide personal financial advice. You should always consider whether the information is right for you and, if necessary, seek advice from a qualified financial adviser before acting on it.
In some cases, Safewill may assist you with the practical steps involved in setting up or updating arrangements connected with your estate planning. For example, we may provide tools or forms that make it easier to prepare a superannuation death benefit nomination or to confirm ownership of an insurance policy. In these situations, we are helping to facilitate the process, but we do not issue financial products. The product provider, such as your superannuation fund or insurer, remains responsible for the product itself.

Safewill charges fees for its estate planning services, including digital wills and related legal documents. In addition, we may have commercial arrangements with superannuation funds, insurers, or advisers that provide access to our services for their members or clients. Under those arrangements, Safewill may be paid by our partners, rather than directly by you.
Safewill does not receive commissions from financial product issuers for any general financial product advice that is provided as part of the will-creation process. Where we do have partnerships that involve payment, these are disclosed to ensure you are aware of any potential conflicts of interest.
Because we work with superannuation funds, insurers, and financial advisers, there may be circumstances where a potential conflict of interest arises. Safewill manages these situations by being transparent about our relationships, limiting the scope of our involvement to general advice and administrative support, and encouraging you to seek independent financial advice where appropriate.
If you are unhappy with our service, we want to know about it. You can contact us directly by emailing complaints@safewill.com or calling 1800 10 33 10. We will do our best to resolve your concerns quickly and fairly.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can refer your complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). AFCA is an independent external dispute resolution service that is free of charge. You can contact AFCA by visiting www.afca.org.au or calling 1800 931 678.
Safewill is committed to protecting your personal information. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. You can view the policy on our website at https://safewill.com/privacy
Safewill provides general advice only. We do not provide personal financial advice. Any information we provide about superannuation, insurance, or other financial products is not tailored to your personal circumstances. Before acting on this information, you should carefully consider whether it is appropriate for you and seek independent advice if necessary.
